Like I said in a previous post, there is nothing better than mixing two patterns together. It's bold and confident! But a bit dangerous because it could come off as a train wreck. Here are some simple guidelines to mixing up two patterns together in one look:
1. Make sure one color is in both pieces- maybe two colors. More than that and you'll rock Rainbow Brite.
2. Keep your silhouettes simple and your pant and top lines clean, as well as your jewelry. I wouldn't recommend a statement necklace at this juncture :)
3. Ground your shoes and bag with one color, preferable a dark neutral like black or navy. Doing this will keep your look intentional and not like you got dressed in the dark.
4. GO FOR IT! Just try it. Fashion risks are fun and harmless, if it flops, tweak it up next time!
Here are some combinations I put together to get your creative juices flowing. This is the perfect time to dig through the back of your closet and pair your old favorites with something new!
