So I don't drink, but I absolutely love cocktail parties. I think I always have, from my first kegger (as my bestie's Designated Driver) in High School, to last week's gathering with some great friends. There is something special about being in a group from 20 to 500 enjoying fabulous appetizers and great conversation. I get to wear great shoes and meet new friends or re-connect with old ones. It really is my favorite kind of date night.
This top from Piperlime is by Trina Turk and feel like it will be wonderful for a cocktail party or work event any time of the year. I left it untucked in the back with wide-legged denim but it would look fabulous with a black pencil skirt. This bag - such a cutie! - is by Joy Gryson, her IIIbeca line. It's new for holiday and I love the studding. The leather is a bit more pliable than her earlier IIIbeca bags and it's the perfect size. This red is fabulous for day or night.
