Forgive me for sounding like a broken record player (wait, what's that? ok, a song on repeat then...) but it is COLD. This is the time where, along with the painful cold and random weather patterns of some sort of precipitation like 'Freezing rain' (drops that freeze in little balls on the ground...?!!?), it's February and Winter has officially stopped being precious. (I promise as soon as it's spring you're going to HEAR ABOUT IT. Like, every every every day! So bear with me during this part...) On top of that, Mercury is in Retrograde. I am a practicing Mormon and absolutely love what my belief system does for me, but I gotta allow for this touch of astrology. They say it's a time for things that were in the past to come back to you and need to be re-evaluated. Don't touch electrics or make any commitments during that time- the warnings go on and on. I just notice that when Mercury is in Retrogade I drop things a lot more, I'm clumsier, and I'm a little too introspective (=anxious). This time I burned the skin off of my arm- like the size of of the palm of my hand- and it will take a year to heal. So on top of feeling crazy, I'm gonna look crazy too. Thanks a heap, Mercury.
In the vein of crazy, this look is just that. I have so many ideas and directions I love to go with these looks, and this one came together by not ever really coming together. So I called it my cat-lady look. Not matched. Not coordinated. At all. Crazy Artist look- favorite pieces worn not for coordinating, only because you love them or use them on their own merit. This bright cerulean blue is everywhere and I love that instead of a predictable pop of pink/red/blah blah blah, the pop came from blue. Usually it's the stabilizing color in your outfit, right? (Navy, anyone?) But I don't think this week I could pull off 'stable' even if I tried. Crazy Cat Lady.
