I love when a look comes together. Right about the time I arranged my trip to Alt Summit, the designer of Manya Jewelry reached out to me for a collaboration. Her beautiful vibe came through even on email and it was a match made in Stylist Heaven! What's even better, I met with the uber-talented Angela Howard of Peppernix Photography. Love this girl and can't wait to work with her again.
One of the evenings at Alt was a Downton Abbey themed party, and Manya's jewelry was perfect for this event. Manya normally designs pieces for bridal wear- one of her latest pieces was shown in VOGUE Bridal in the UK! I think any bride would look amazing in any of her necklaces, but to see her line branch out to special events is exciting. Here is her story:
Manya Nofal developed an appreciation of art at an early age from a family of artists--aunts, uncles and cousins who were painters, embroiderers and weavers. She always saw the world in bright colors and possibilities.
While caring for her first-born son, she allowed herself to let go and embrace the art she loved so long ago. Manya started to collect odds and ends at art stores and slowly her art pieces began to take shape. While she designed, her friends and family were so taken by the intricate details of her work they encouraged her to share her work with the world.
Manya's designs are accomplished through a combination of exquisite elements with different textures and unlimited hours of devoted work. They were exhibited for the first time at the Luxetigers Fashion Fund for Families on November 2014. Recently her Designs also were featured in Today's Bride Magazine of San Francisco, and this January her work was featured in British Vogue magazine.
Isn't she lovely? It was a perfect night thanks to some perfectly talented people. One for the record books!
