COAT - Great transitional piece, good price
SWEATER- Round 2
SHIRT - Updated "Girly Menswear" (yes, it's a thing)
JEANS - never too many! Great cropped cut for boots now, sandals later
BOOTS - brown suede but dark enough to still mourn warmer temps as is proper
HANDBAG - in love with this silhouette and Zac Posen reminds me of Fred Savage (bonus points)
EARRINGS - when people say ear crawlers I think of some South American parasite, but no- this is the cool kind
We all prepped for a major snow storm on Monday, and it didn't happen. I was practically disappointed that Mother Nature didn't put me in my place again and remind me that she's no where near done messing with us. Along with that, I always expect Spring to come so much earlier in New York- but it really doesn't feel warm until May. All through March and April everyone is shuttling between scarves and layers. I don't mind it though since any air movement on my arms chills me to the bone, so along with everyone else I get to fit right in and not look like an Eskimo in comparison! Bottom line, my Fall/Winter gear has to go the distance, especially sweaters.
You saw Monday's post and the cotton Fisherman/Cable Knit sweater I wore- I fell in love with it because of it's cotton styling and easy cut. I absolutely love cotton sweaters from early Spring through Summer- they are a dressier, chic/casual version of a sweatshirt and just as comfy.
I styled this baby 3 more times to get you thinking ahead about you will be able to wear into spring! Keep your sweaters out and get creative with your layers. Show Mother Nature who's boss.
TEE - on clearance but the mix of patterns keeps this outfit from being to stuffy, kind of "i woke up like this"
BUTTON-DOWN - the dressiest denim you'd own
SWEATER - oh, hello...
SHORTS - what a flattering longer length!
RING - subtle statement piece from a new designer I found
TOTE - Jack Spade dipped tote. For the boys, but looks great on us
LOAFERS - version of a sneaker. I put insoles in mine
TEE - I aspire to a Comme des Garcons tee (and can't find the french 'c' treatment on my keyboard!
SHORTS - suede-y loose things that I would live in, especially with the slightly fitted tee here
SWEATER - cukoo...!
BUCKET BAG - Neutral Perfection! And Zac Posen has the cutest face on the planet. Like a New York version of Fred Savage. Adorable
BRONZE EARRINGS - Even the simplest pieces can be a statement. I love these.
BIRKENSTOCKS - I swore I wouldn't do this year's pink like I swore off chocolate. (hopeless)
